Ahmet Arslan, Minister of Transport, Maritime Affairs and Communications; We will build the express train ourselves

“We have become Europe's 6th, the world's 8th user of high-speed trains and also the country that builds it. TÜLOMSAŞ is one of our established organizations making the difference with Devrim Automobile. TÜLOMSAŞ has always been ambitious, and if our country's managers and administrators believed as much as they did when it made its claim about the Devrim car, today we would have talked about world-brand cars and world-brand airplanes. TÜLOMSAŞ now produces engines in the railway sector. They say: 'As Turkey, as Eskişehir, we will build high-speed trains in TÜLOMAS'. As I said, if the worker believes, all we have to do is support ourselves and do it. Therefore, when purchasing the new 96 bullet train set, we included a specification for the technology to come to our country and the bullet train to be built in Turkey under the industrial cooperation program. We will outsource the first 20, then TÜLOMSAŞ will gradually take up more space in production and manufacture the last 16 100 percent ourselves. However, we are not content with that. Apart from that, after we adopt this technology and are able to manufacture the bullet train, we will manufacture the bullet train both nationally and locally, and we will not be content to use it in our country. We will export from our country to the geography we are in and even to the whole world."

Antalya is to be connected to Istanbul by high-speed train

Antalya's 100 year old railway dream comes true. Both in two branches. Work has started on the project that will connect Antalya to the high-speed rail network via Eskişehir and Kayseri.

In order to connect Antalya with Istanbul, a high-speed line with a speed of 200 km/h will be built between Antalya-Eskişehir and Antalya-Kayseri.
