The reason for the decision was that the hygiene concept of Turkey and the tourism industry was sufficient. The ministry's statement said that the negotiations with the Turkish government and the hygiene concept offered by the tourism professionals had been "satisfactory", so the travel ban in the tourist regions had been partially lifted. A mandatory PCR test will be carried out for people coming from places where the travel warning has been lifted.
The PCR test (polymerase chain reaction) is mandatory
In the statement that the travel warning was lifted on condition that the tourism and hygiene law prepared by the Turkish government is strictly observed, it said vacationers must take the mandatory PCR test within 48 hours before returning to Germany. and it was declared that citizens with a positive test result will remain in quarantine in Turkey. It has been informed that those with positive results in these tests, which can be carried out for a fee of 15 euros in laboratories and 30 euros at airports, will be quarantined or treated in Turkey.
Norbert Fiebig, Head of the German Travel Agency (DRV), explained in a written statement that the Federal Foreign Office had partially lifted the travel warning for Antalya, Aydın, İzmir and Muğla, thus opening one of the most popular holiday destinations at least partially for Germans.
