With the world-renowned long-term survey, foreign workers rated the countries in which they work in terms of the quality of life that the countries offer them, working conditions, work-life balance, financial income and family life. According to the Expats Explorer survey conducted by HSBC Group and based on the opinions of 18,000 expatriate employees in 163 countries, Turkey ranks 7th in the world and is in the top 10.

Turkey is a unique country with a regional maritime climate with Marmara, Mediterranean and Aegean Seas, and different climate zones can be observed in the east and west on the same day. With its historical and cultural structure, it offers both modernity and traditionalism. From the past to the present, it has been one of the rare countries where people of different religions and cultures live together peacefully. With its historical, natural and cultural riches, it has always been the focus of the attention of the citizens who visit it. Day by day, Turkey, with its growing economy, is getting closer to its goal of achieving a higher standard of living for both its own citizens and foreign citizens.

Turkey treats foreign workers warmly

The Republic of Turkey is constantly working to facilitate the work and family life of foreign workers. It can be seen that the country always gives space to foreign workers with the foreign worker permit intended for the companies for employing foreign workers. With the increase in the number of people speaking a foreign language in the country, foreign workers can express themselves more easily. Many benefits are offered to foreign workers in the public and private sectors.

According to the Expats Explorer survey, the ratings of foreign workers working in Turkey in relation to the country are as follows:

• 72% said the city they live in is culturally and historically rich with parks, monuments and architectural structures.

• 63% said they live in the city center for easy travel.

• 62% of them indicated that they have a higher quality of life in Turkey than in their own country.

• 60% of them stated that their working conditions in Turkey are better than in their own country.

• 59% said they like Turkey's cultural structure.

• 59% said they find it easier to travel to other countries from Turkey than to their own country.

• 58% stated that Turkey has good and tasty food.

• 57% of them said they learned Turkish cuisine skills like learning a new language, diving and cooking in Turkey.

• 55% said they found it easier to achieve their goals like a better home and car in Turkey.

• 50% stated that they have more time for family and hobbies in Turkey.
